Digital Literacies ANZ is a community of practice for professionals across Australia and New Zealand to share, learn and have ongoing conversations about digital literacies.
In this space we explore the capabilities required in an increasingly digital world, and how we might improve digital literacies in our own organisations and communities.
The Digital Literacies ANZ blog and webinars complement conversations about digital literacies happening in educational institutions, schools, workplaces and in the community across Australia and New Zealand. In 2015 the library at La Trobe University (LTU) hosted a digital literacies seminar in Melbourne as part of its Digital Literacies Framework project. The seminar was attended by participants from 20 institutions across Australia. Digital literacies were also discussed across Australia at the well-attended and successful webinar on digital literacies hosted by the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) Learning and Teaching Advisory Committee in 2015. The result of these two separate events was that participants supported organising future events (as part of a digital literacies community of practice for Australia and New Zealand) to continue conversations about digital literacies and digital practices across institutions.
